Panel Testing

Rather than doing piecemeal testing, we have the option to do panels through LifeLabs.

Blood Test Panel Testing Includes:
Liver/Digestion Panel Investigates liver and gallbladder function
Fatigue Panel Provides insight into the common causes of fatigue including anemia, infections, mononucleosis and hypothyroidism
Men’s Health Panel Reports on biomarkers important to men’s health: cardiovascular, hormonal and prostate
Female Hormone Panel Reports on common hormones related to women’s health including morning cortisol
Female Fertility Panel Investigates the most common hormones affecting fertility – high prolactin, thyroid conditions, progesterone insufficiency, low ovarian reserve and PCOS
Autoimmune Panel A variety of disease-specific antibodies including celiac disease, thyroid disease, rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune conditions
Thyroid Panel Full investigation of the thyroid
Thyroid Panel – Basic TSH, T3 and T4
Lipids Panel 

-          Fasting

Reports on cholesterol and triglyceride levels – standard for assessing cardiovascular disease risk
Metabolic Panel 

-          Fasting

Investigates metabolic syndrome – signs and symptoms include abdominal obesity, high glucose and/or triglycerides, hypertension and low HDL (good cholesterol)
Inflammation Panel Investigates a variety of inflammatory markers
Methylation Panel Identifies levels of vitamins required for methylation
Vitamin Panel Includes: A, B1, B6, B12, C, D, E
Mineral Panel Includes: Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper
Nutrient Panel Includes: Vitamin and Mineral Panels
Hematology Panel Identifies common markers of blood health including red and white blood cells and platelets. Necessary for assessing anemias

Enhanced Healthy Living Assessment Panel 

-          Fasting

Comprehensive blood testing panel that provide insight into liver, kidney, blood, electrolyte, heart, inflammation and metabolic health 

-          Adds folate, vitamin B12, Vitamin D, insulin and ESR

 

 

***Testing is not covered by OHIP but insurance may reimburse some costs. Please contact your provider, if you have questions. Documentation fee of $7.76 will be added to each separate requisition (not each separate test or panel)
